Job Description
Transform sketch designs using Computer Aided Designs (CAD) / Building Information Modelling (BIM) into working documents
• Generate engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
• Enforce BIM strategies, processes and standards, model content and quality control for the discipline/assigned scope of works
• Implement and manage BIM Execution Plan
• Creation of 3D model content and modelling using specified tools and/or prepare 2D drawings in Revit/AutoCAD as relevant or required
• Generate clash detection report and other relevant reports from 3D models
• Model development, construction, documentation and production techniques.
• Examine and check drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications
• Co-ordinate with engineers on drawings and documents for issue and filing
• Maintain Electronic File Naming Conventions and the overall drawing register in controlled documents
• Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual
• Competently draft from engineers’ initial sketch design to produce a working drawing capable of being interpreted by builders and/or architects
• Liaise with engineers and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation
• Apply understanding of construction methods, techniques
• Handle project correspondence via document management sites e.g. Aconex, Incite and Project Web
• Communicate relevant project information to the project leaders/project team
• Implement and monitor Quality Assurance items
• Effectively manage time to ensure work is completed within established time frames
• Any other reasonable request of your manager or a Director
Academic Qualifications and Professional Memberships
• Relevant Diploma / Higher Nitec qualifications and/or equivalent experience
• Specialist Diploma in BIM and VDC (by BCA) will be an advantage.
Work Experience & Skills
• At least 3-4 years’ experience (including apprenticeship if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years local experience
• Strong understanding of Autodesk softwares (Revit, AutoCAD, Naviswokrs, BIM
360 etc.)
• Other software skills (e.g, dynamo, grasshopper, Tekla structures, etc.) are an added bonus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings (architectural, civil & structural and mechanical)
• In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions and application
• General understanding of local authority (BCA, LTA, PUB, NParks) drawing presentation and submission requirements.
• General understanding of Corenet X requirements

• Good communication skills
