Job Description
To Establish BIM standards, protocols, and workflows tailored to the project’s specific needs, ensuring compliance with LTA requirements and industry best practices.Create and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) that outlines the BIM goals, processes, and responsibilities for the project.Align BIM implementation with the project’s overall strategic objectives, ensuring that BIM supports the project’s goals and enhances efficiencyTo Facilitate collaboration among various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.) to ensure integrated and coordinated design and construction models.Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related matters, engaging with all stakeholders including project owners, design teams, contractors, and LTA representatives.Identify and resolve conflicts and clashes within the BIM models to prevent issues during constructionOversee the quality and accuracy of BIM models, ensuring they meet the project’s specifications and LTA standards.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data within the BIM models, including geometric accuracy and metadata consistency.Conduct regular audits and reviews of BIM models to ensure compliance with established standards and protocolsProvide technical support and guidance to the project team regarding BIM tools and processes.Organize and conduct training sessions for project staff to enhance their BIM skills and knowledge.Manage BIM software and tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to all relevant team membersMonitor the progress of BIM implementation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.Generate regular reports on BIM-related progress, issues, and achievements for the project management team and LTA.Allocate and manage resources effectively to support BIM activities and maintain project timelines.Continuously seek opportunities to improve BIM processes and workflows, leveraging new technologies and methodologies.Introduce innovative solutions and practices that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BIM in the project.Collect and integrate feedback from project teams to refine and optimize BIM practices.Identify and mitigate risks associated with BIM implementation and integration within the project.Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential issues related to BIMPromote the use of BIM for sustainable design practices, optimizing energy performance and reducing waste.Ensure that BIM models contain relevant information for the entire lifecycle of the infrastructure, facilitating maintenance and operations post-construction.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.Minimum 7 years of experience in design, construction, or Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) project management.Preferably at least 5 years of experience as a Project level BIM Manager in large-scale or infrastructure projects, having completed one full project cycle at either design or construction phase.Certified with Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) by BCA Academy and any BIM authoring software authorized training provider.Candidates certified with Digital Delivery Lead (DDM Tier 2) will also be considered.Proficiency in at least two BIM software for 4D BIM, 5D BIM, and design coordination purposes such as Navisworks Manage, Solibri Office, VRCollab, Navigator, Synchro Pro, Fuzor, CostX, Cubicost, etc.
