Job Description
Consulting Manager (BIM/VDC) provides consulting leadership related to BIM project implementation following the defined project’s objectives and oversees quality control throughout the BIM implementation project life cycle. He / She is also responsible for the BIM execution plan; BIM scope, schedule, and budget. This position is responsible for providing direction in emerging technologies associated with BIM and developed opportunities, process improvement; application, and data integration. He / She is required to mentor, communicate current practices and procedures with other junior consultants.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Specific Skills):
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma/Degree, Professional Degree
• A strong background in producing construction documentation / detailing on large-scale commercial projects. (Domain in either Civil, Construction; Architectural; Structural; M&E)
• Minimum 3-4 years of BIM related Design and/or Construction experience with demonstrated progression of technical knowledge
• Knowledge, project responsibilities; and the ability to coordinate very large or multiple projects
• Proficient in 3D parametric modeling, AECOSIM, Bentley Software, Autodesk Revit, or equivalent BIM software
• Proficient in Navisworks or equivalent coordination software.
• Experience with rendering and animation software.
• Proven ability to determine construction detailing and techniques
Job Responsibilities
• BIM consultation and related services (i.e., model integration, scheduling attributes using modeled info, etc.) for design, construction, and post-construction activities.
• Collect, integrate, and audit BIM data and processes as defined in the BIM Requirements, design codes, and authority regulation.
• Audit model and BIM data to ensure data integrity and consistency
• Troubleshoot & resolve BIM issues pertaining to BIM projects
• Manage model data to facilitate model coordination between multiple disciplines and sub-contractors
• Participate as an observer and auditor role for our customer in project BIM meetings
• Collaborate and communicate with multiple disciplines and sub-contractors to deliver and/or manage BIM data
• Audit and report project metrics related to the BIM model and data as defined by the customer’s team
• Generate progress & status reports for BIM projects
• Support and educate the customer’s team to utilize BIM data
• Support sales team in requirement gathering, proposal writing; marketing, and presentation.
• Manage and mentor Junior BIM Consultants.
• To be updated on the latest development; trends and technology in the AEC software domain. If necessary provide evaluation and analysis on these developments.
