Job Description
Responsibilities:
Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities on all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) matters.
Collaborate with the BIM team to prepare models for construction, ensuring accuracy by cross-checking with contract drawings.
Coordinate and review drawings among various disciplines (MEP, civil, structural, architectural) to ensure integration.
Review shop drawings, materials, and Method of Statements (MOS) submitted by subcontractors.
Assist the MEP Engineer in managing documentation and submittals.
Understand and review contract documents and subcontractor scopes of work.
Conduct pre-inspections with subcontractors before calling for RE/RTO inspections.
Arrange and facilitate RE/RTO inspections.
Ensure site works are executed according to the daily/weekly coordination schedule.
Monitor Variation Orders (VOs) and issue back charges promptly.
Attend subcontractor and technical meetings for MEP-related matters.
Prepare the site for RI(M&E) and Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) inspections.
Oversee MEP material selection, sample board submissions, and trade demonstrations, while addressing consultant/client review comments.
Lead the preparation of as-built drawings and submission of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) documents.
Manage the handover process to owners, town councils, authorities, and management agents.
Assess subcontractors’ claims and progress claims.
Ensure all work activities are conducted in a safe working environment.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor/management.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/Building Services. A Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination and BIM/VDC is an advantage.
Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in public HDB projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, and to cope in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with BIM is advantageous.
Willingness to travel to project site offices within Singapore.
